We know how important it is to complete your physical exam for the purposes of immigration. Your physical exam will be completed by award-winning civil surgeon, Dr. Hess. What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?

  • Government issued photo ID (driver's license, passport). Expired ID will not be accepted.
  • Immunization Records (must be in English).
  • Interpreter (if needed) - must be at least 18 years old

Can you submit the fees to my insurance company?

No, Immigration Physicals are not considered a billable service by insurance companies. Therefore, any fees will be collected the day of your exam. A non-refundable $100 will be required at the time of scheduling and will be deducted from your total fees on the day of your exam.

What immunizations are required?

Based on different requirements by age, gender, and health history, required immunizations will be determined by Dr. Hess at the time of your visit. The most common immunizations required include Tdap or DTap, MMR, Varicella, and Flu Shot (required during flu season) The cost of the immunizations varies in price from $35 each up to $168 each.

What to expect at your visit:

  • Complete paperwork (I-693)
  • Labwork (Syphilis, Gonorrhea, TB)
  • Physical Exam with Dr. Hess
  • Pay for exam and other fees (cash, credit / debit card). The cost of the exam and required lab work is $385.00. This does not include any additional immunizations or x-rays that may be required to complete your exam.
